Hi Guys,

I am trying everything I can think of and I can't seem to find anything on the forum to help.

I am trying to install JaS 10.4.8 on my system but I am not having much luck!

Pentium D 915 | Intel D945GTP | 1GB DDR2 667MHz | SATA HDD

The install takes a bit of time to boot up, but once I get in the install screen it only takes about 20-25 minutes.

Once the install is done, nothing happens. Intel boot manager, says error. Something related to media and a cable, but when I booted XP and installed over the top on the same HDD everything worked fine.

From everyhere I can see SATA is supported and should be working. I have put the SATA data cable in the 1 slot on the mobo, and OSX recognizes the drive. Because before I go into install, I can see and format the drive in disc utilities.

Is there something that I am doing wrong?

The BIOS is completely up to date, but is there a way to check that I have the BIOS setup correctly?

The only way I am able to get the darwin bootloader up is if I have the install disc in the drive, but then even if I type -v when prompted it only loads up the install disc.

Really would love some help:) Getting a bit stressed.

Cheers guys.

Ok,

Now with nothing in any drives. With the SATA HDD being the only thing to boof off, I get the message 'no bootable device'.

Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong? The installation completes, and I can see the OS in startup disc selection in the installer.

ARGGG
