cbmkgd
An idle/suspended VM takes no CPU time - period. That is a run-away vmware-vmx. Fix VMware. And don't install every flippin' patch to OSX. Stay behind the curve. Myzar's 10.4.4 is a masterpiece. It's still slow, of course -- but certainly not as slow as you're certainly seeing. I continually test new stuff in vmware, which is why I tried osx on it first back then; but when I became more confident on its native installs (due to myzar's masterpieces, as you noted, which have continued up to 10.4.10) my need to go via vmware is (almost) nil; but each of us have different needs of course. The 'flippin' upgrades will stay I intervened in this thread mostly to confirm the slowness of osx in vmware based on my personal experience/situation, and eventually give the maxxuss quote which I thought was the reason behind the vm-slowness that suddenly began with a certain version.
