igonzo
Hi, Is there a (not too difficult) way to make my X700 working in 1280 x 800, I don't mind about hardware acceleration (I'm runninx OSX in VMware) (near) everything works except the resolution... YES, I searched on the forum, but I didn't fin anything really helpful. Sorry for another post about X700 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5560-getting-ati-x700-working-in-1280x800-i-dont-mind-about-acceleration/ Share on other sites
cyrana
I don't think you can get widescreen resolutions unless you have 'real' video driver support. VESA modes are just normal 4:3 or 5:4 rations as far as I cna tell. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. silentbob
I think vesa mode is somehow connected to video bios. On my Geforce Go5700 I can run 1280x800x8. But this is useless for me. igonzo
I'm currently running the version 10.4.1, I saw here : http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/ATI that "ATI Radeon cards are now working in Mac OS X 10.4.3." Is the card directly installed with the 10.4.3 installation or must we develop our own kernel ?
