psamathos
Hi, I'm trying to get my Asus 7900GTX ( 512MB ) to work in OS X. I've patched the card's bios according to instructions and it works fine. I would like to have some other resolution than 1024x768 on my screen though I've tried installing NVinject and NVidiaEFI and they seem to work, my card is detected and the native resolution is printed. However the driver never loads. I also tried editing Geforce.kext, setting <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x029010de</string> where 0x0290 is my device ID When I boot i get NVinject: Probing. NVinject: Setting @2,hwsensor-params-version=<data not shown> NVinject: Setting device_type=NVDA,GeForce NVinject: Setting @1,device_type=display NVinject: Setting @0,compatible=NVDA,NVMac NVinject: Setting @1,compatible=NVDA,NVMac NVinject: Setting @2,hwctrl-params-version=<data not shown> NVinject: Setting @2,reg=<data not shown> NVinject: Setting @1,name=NVDA,Display-B NVinject: Setting NVPM=<data not shown> NVinject: Setting @0,name=NVDA,Display-A NVinject: Setting @2,name=sensor-parent NVinject: Setting name=NVDA,Parent NVinject: Setting @2,compatible=NVDA,sensor-parent NVinject: Setting NVCAP=<data not shown> NVinject: Setting @0,device_type=display NVinject: Setting model=G71 GeForce 7900 GTX NV: NVidiaEFI Support Version 1.0.2, build 1002071310 NV: LCD Panel Detected On Output: A, Head N: 0 NV: LCD Panel Max Resolution: 1680x1050 NVDA,Display-A: Not usable It seems to me like it should work, although it doesn't. Any suggestions? I've tried Titan/Natit without success too. regards, Magnus Forgot to add I'm running 10.4.9 from _TubGirl_, the kernel is 8.9.

Pyro2927
if its the notebook version of the 7900gtx, it only has 256, not 512. no one seems to understand that fact.
