68jimmy
Good day. This may seem like a noob question but here it goes... I have two DVD drives, one is an RW which is hanging off the IDE port the other is a -R and is attached to the second SATA port. Neither of the drives has an audio cable that plugs into the on-board audio. When I play a DVd I get no audio thru the speakers and I'm nt sure if it is because of an audio driver issue or a cable issue. Do I or do I not need the audio cable from one of the DVD drives to the on-board audio connector? Thanks in Advance. donovan
sarahbau
You do not need the audio cable. I'm surprised drives even still have them. The last time I used one was in 1997. Since then most programs get the data digitally rather than through the audio out.
