nocoast
I tried making a similar thread in the video forum but that {censored} died quick, anyways Im planning on running a quad boot of os x, xp, vista, and some flavor of linux...I plan on using this primarily for video editing, (particularly in final cut and avid) So this is what I have in mind: intel core 2 quad q6600 ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel Motherboard corsair xms2 2 gb (2 x 1gb) (Im thinking about getting 2x 2gb, but the only ram I find that will work with my mobo is G.Skill, which I dont quite trust) WD 10k raptor 150 gigs EVGA 8800GTS 640mb 2x samsung 226bw 22" lcd widescreen (dual monitor setup) So what does everybody think, what changes should I make to accomodate os x, what changes should I make period? All suggestions are greatly appreciated...thanks in advance...
gcodori
check to see if the 8x series GFX card is fully supported - use search function. Most will recommend a 7600GT/GS series card instead. The MB and HD are OK - check for the sound and network patches for the MB.
