nylock10
Hey, I'm currently downloading the leaked WWDC '07 beta of Leopard (done in 12 hours, sweet!) but I don't know what kind of DVD is appropriate to burn to. Will this product work: http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...DP2096:CL142807 I have an iMac Core Duo with the following Disc Burning support (found this in System Profiler): MAT{censored}A DVD-R UJ-846: Firmware Revision: FB2U Interconnect: ATAPI Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipped/Supported) Cache: 2048 KB Reads DVD: Yes CD-Write: -R, -RW DVD-Write: -R, -RW, +R, +RW, +R DL Burn Underrun Protection CD: Yes Burn Underrun Protection DVD: Yes Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, DVD-DAO Media: No Can I burn the 9A466 Leopard build to that Double-Layer DVD on my iMac A-OK? Here's how I'll burn it: 1: Make a backup copy of the DMG (just in case) 2: Lock the DMG I'm going to burn 3: Mount the DMG and burn it to the DVD media (linked above) via Disk Utility Will that work? (sorry for the sort-of long post/questions, I'm hell of excited about getting Leopard) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/54929-recommended-media-to-burn-with/ Share on other sites

Criot
Make sure to buy some dual layers unless you plan on taking out xcode to make it fit on a single layer! GBK.Xscape
what i would really recommend doing is to just restore the image to an extra partition on a external hard drive or just restore it to an ipod, its free and easy.... nylock10
I'd do that, but unfortunately I only have a 2GB hard drive and I use my External as a backup - I don't want to lose data.
