Luciano90
Hi there!. After some trouble installing OS X, I managed to install it. So, when I boot to the OS, I get this grey screen with the apple logo, but it just stays there: Any idea? I used JaS 10.4.8, in the installation I applied the AMD patch, nVidia, X11. I have an AMD64 x2 4200+, so I dunno what the problem is. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks! Tried -v, got this error: "Still waiting for root device". I've got a SATA harddrive. My mothearboard is a DFI LanParty UT nF4 Ultra-D. Macshiba
If I were you, I'd try using 10.4.7 or even 10.4.6. I had the same problem, plus a thousand others while trying to boot 10.4.7 and 10.4.8, but when I tried .6 it worked perfectly. It might just be some small minor hardware problem like mine which works fine in 10.4.6 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/54258-cant-get-os-x-started-after-correct-installation/#findComment-387809 Share on other sites
