covenant Posted June 17, 2007 Share Posted June 17, 2007 I have a 300gb external drive. When I turn it on, OSX properly detects and mounts it to /Volumes/Extern300/. I can access the directory and files from the terminal. However, it does not add an icon to the desktop, nor does it show in finder. I have verything checked in Finder Preferences. Any idea what's going on? I'm a mac noob (as many) and can't see how to get a GUI app to access the drive without it being visible in Finder, since most apps don't use the raw filesystem on OSX. I'm running uphuck 1.3 on an AMD dual core nforce4 system. Thanks!
