Hi,

I have a Fujitsu Siemens S7110 which has a ALC262 Intel High Definition Audio chip. When I installed Jas 10.4.9 I had no sound, but after installing AppleAzaliaAudio.kext sound worked through the laptop speakers.

The issue is that I have no sound input, and only one sound output (listed as "HD Audio Output"). This means the headphone/line out port is no use. I'd like to get this working so had a shot of AppleHDAPatcher_v1.16 and tried loading ALC262_codec_dump.txt which I found on the net.

When I tried that I got this message in the Patcher:

		  AppleHDA Patcher - 2006/2007 Taruga v1.16
_______________________________________________________
	  Codec	: Realtek ALC262
   Vendor Id	: 0x10ec0262
Subsystem Id	: 0x104d1400
_______________________________________________________

This codec is not working at the moment, it needs more research

I'd like to get this sorted but don't know where to start. If someone could give me some pointers on how to perform the required research I'd be happy to put some time in.

Cheers

-Chris

Taruga's patch doesn't work with this codec... I also tried using a new dump made by my UX but patch doesn't work. It's just to wait future updates...

p.s: if you need it, you can buy a supported USB Mic.
