argonlazer
Hello me again A friend of mine has Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac on a CD and would like to send it too me via his FTP. Can anyone instruct me on how to rip this Mac CD on a windows machine to some form of ISO or DMG so that it can be sent as a single file? Thanks (Sorry if I break any forum rules )
sarahbau
A normal ISO should work, as it's a bit-for-bit copy of the original CD. What operating system the software is meant for shouldn't change anything. Disk Utility in OS X can mount and/or burn .iso images as well.
argonlazer
no no i mean. He needs to rip the CD on his Xp Machine. Apparently the software he's using wont recognise the CD as a CD because its in the wrong format probably. Any reccomendations for software or will he need a mac to do it? Thanks
sarahbau
no no i mean. He needs to rip the CD on his Xp Machine. I know. Either he's not doing it right, or his software can't create actual ISO files (which should contain filesystem info and everything). I don't use Windows, so I don't know the best software to use, but he could try LC ISO Creator
