I have the sinking feeling that we're all wasting our time. Leppy will show, but not anytime soon. If it'll be hosted privately first, good luck getting it. Hope your gag reflexes are in check.

It'll eventually show up on places like the bay-bay, minnie, and others, but it might be another week, maybe two . . . who knows. Maybe these outfits will also adopt the Greens D's position and avoid the problem altogether.

I am in awe of Apple's genius move to attach potentially serious consequences to the act of uploading this beta preview. It's creating quite a stir. I mean, the tension in the air is palpable.

It's not Apple's genius move. It's the paranoia of everyone else. EVERY SINGLE Tiger release was said to be watermarked, but it never was. People just instantly get scared and they start spouting that it could be watermarked.

Its going to be quite a while.. unless someone knows someone.. thats the only way anyone is going to get it with in the next week or so. If you have direct access to the original DVD. Otherwise its going to be impossible. Apple has put the fear of God into everyone. And no one wants to get caught. If I paid two grand to have access to the DVD, I sure as hell wouldn't risk giving it out to a bunch of people don't know.

Well.. I'm just going to check the torrent sites once or twice a day. thats all we can really do.

Public Note If someone wants to sneaker net it over to me... I will put the fear of god back into apple :: glares :: Never really understood why apple cares so much. They should release it now so that someone hacks the os to put it on the pc and then patch it. Really it should only help tighten the OS overall. And while I support the hackintosh project really if they want to keep it locked to their hardware it is their choice and I would gladly buy another Mac simply to continue to experience OSX. I always thought that was the purpose of the hackintosh project to simply be able to explore the possibilities and do proof of concept. I really legitimately hope no one runs it as their main machine.

I understand why its not going up on torrents right now, but why haven't we seen it on any peer 2 peer channels? Like DC++ or IRC, or something like that. Hell even newsgroups. I would think it would be all over the place where Apple can't shut it down.

Exactly.

Anyone remember the good old days of Hotline?? :( If that was still popular, I am sure it would be there by now!!

HOTLINE CONNECT I loved that program; I was just talking about that with someone at work... he was telling me how he missed out... I remember the servers that you would have to know someone to get in and have a ridiculous share ratio like upload 10 gigs (circa 1999) before you got a full unlimited account with no throttling. Or the click this site find the tenth word servers haha... the good ole days
