toenexx
Is it possible to convince Apple to put in a 1x2gb stick of ram in a MBP i ordered? (I got 2x1gb sticks for total of 2gb) The reason I ask this is because upgrading from 2gb to 4gb is a rip... I'm planning to upgrade memory later, but it will be easier to already have a 1x2gb stick and an empty slot.
Fluc
I doubt they will do it, the sales department usually doesn't feel responsible enough to make those decisions and they'd rather just stick to the protocol. I asked for a 7200rpm harddrive for my 15" MBP when I ordered it, since it was available in the earlier versions and in the 17" (same size and everything), but the guy said it was not possible for him to get that done. I'm sorry to say but that's just the way it seems to work
aliquis
It would require more work and I guess 1x 2GB module cost more than 2x 1GB.
