Soündless Posted May 31, 2007 Share Posted May 31, 2007 i was going to install ubuntu on my external hard drive with a live cd. i pop it in and reboot, i select start or install ubuntu, and then it just freezes. i restart and i hear a buzzing sound every 5 seconds from the drive. you also can hear the rotations of the drive and cannot read or detect any cds or dvds. after a period of this activity, the drive ejects it's content. what do you think the problem is? i have called apple but they are closed 4 today.
