For an install on x86 hardware you need the x86 version. jegabla
There is no x86 patch for a PPC version of tiger. This is just impossible. You need to patch the x86 version of tiger. If you put it into any other model, it won't even install. The install DVDs are model specific now... The install DVDs are model specific now... That's not true, in my case they work in any other Mac. It isn't like Mac OS 9 which install specific System, System Extensions and Control Panels. If I use my PowerBook as Target Disk Mode I can boot with other Macs and they load their own specifix Extensions to function. Although Tiger DVD on PPC Macs has no X86 Code yet, but I think when Intel Macs will released Install DVDs will have Universal Binaries. Edit: what can be different is the Applications they included in the DVD, so SuperDrive models have iDVD, the new iMac has Front Row, I Guess.
