generalzod
I sucessfully have 8f1111 installed natively, however no sound is working. Has anyone got AppleAC97Audio.Kext to work with 8f1111??? and if so how? Thanks for any input. quixos
look down on this thread for macgirls post she shared an AppleAC97Audio.kext. http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...udio\.kext other info on that page might be useful. have to fix the permissions to get it right. i did "chmod -R 755" on it. but my sound STUTTERS, on, then off, etc. so i will compile it myself and then if that doesn't work do more searching for answers. generalzod
look down on this thread for macgirls post she shared an AppleAC97Audio.kext. http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...udio\.kext other info on that page might be useful. have to fix the permissions to get it right. i did "chmod -R 755" on it. but my sound STUTTERS, on, then off, etc. so i will compile it myself and then if that doesn't work do more searching for answers. This worked. Sorry I didn't search more closely. IT takes a bit to get permissions right. I did the "chmod -R 755 command and afterwards I also loaded the kext via the terminal. Works fine now. Thanks again. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5219-sound-and-8f1111/#findComment-33717 Share on other sites

macgirl
Sound stutters has to do with the SSE2 kernel, Maxxuss said it will disappear when he gets fully working SSE2 kernel, also pink artifacts in Quickime movies.
