Many rumours have been going around about the next incarnation of Logic Pro, including lots of speculation of Logic being rewritten and rebranded into a whole new app. My guesstimation is that whatever logic's successor is called. it will most likely be released along with Leopard. So my advice to you is to just wait. Search your favourite torrent sites for logic express 7.2 and play with that until the fate of logic is revealed. At least you will learn how to use logic in the meantime. Who knows, you might not like it at all and be glad you didn't drop the grand on it.
