neovo
Im running osx86 on my laptop. It is connected to an external display 17". The problem i faced is the performance of expose is slighly slower. I can feel it. However, if only main display is running, expose is very smooth. So i want to off the main screen and only turn on the external display. So only 1 display running which is external one (clamshell mode). But in osx86 laptop it could not be done. I dont know how to do clamshell mode. On macbook normally we have to close the lid and use keyboard/mouse to wake up the external display (main laptop screen will remain off). Anyone has done before clamshell mode on osx86 laptop? Please sharing some information about that here. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/51295-osx86-laptop-with-external-display/ Share on other sites
tiomka
I had the same issue, and after a while (of silly tries) came up with a solution that worked for me: I have Vaio VGN-TXN15P and used Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD. All I did is: During the installation clicked on CUSTOMIZE and picked all KERNEL options and all GRAPHIC drivers. It worked perfectly from then on. Hope this helps.
