Hi there all,

Good day everyone. after changing a few hardware her and there on my x86,

i finally got the osx 86 to show me it's GUI for the first time.

After it welcomes me to the Mac OSX installer. Then it ask me to agree to the Agreement.

Now, i am at the "Select a destination volume to install the Mac OSX software"

Problem is, there is nothing to select.

FYI, i am installing it on a Fresh blank HDD (wipe it off using dban).

Do i need to create a partition? what can i use?

1) Is your disk ata or sata? sata may not work so well..

2) Have you tried using the disk tools utility from the utilies menu in the installer to format the disk, or doesn't that see it either?

3) It *might* help to format beforehand with a linux live cd or possibly partition magic..

any good?

Sorry dude, it work just fine.

but for those who didnt know, and wanna try installing it on a single fresh HDD,

use some tools like dban (search google for it), it'll wipe off the HDD clean.

And then, when you reach to the installation screen,

dont forget to use the UTILITIES to create a partition.

THEN install..
