Pozican
Well here is the topmost error panic(cpu 0 caller 0xC038C9D3): Unable to find driver for this platform: "ACPI". Debugger called: <panic> I'm not quite sure what to do -- I tried disabling ACPI via my bios, but there wasn't an option to. Using 10.4.3 8F1099 w/ maxxuss patch 1.1a CPU supports SSE, SSE2, and SSE3 Any ideas? macgirl
You can tyoe ono of the two options. platform=ACPI or platform=X86PC BTW some extensions needed for X86PC are not present in 10.4.3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5111-acpi-kernel-panic/#findComment-35036 Share on other sites
simian
i also have this problem, has anyone found a way to solve this Okay, try this: Go to http://win2osx.net/wiki/index.php/10-4-3-8F1111 and download the extensions.mkext file. Go through Transmac (if you don't have it, search for it via Google, and download the trial) and delete the extensions.kext folder and replace the mkext with the one downloaded. You should be able to boot that in VMWare. Before you do this, make a copy of the iso file so you can go back if it doesn't work. Good luck --jake Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5111-acpi-kernel-panic/#findComment-35074 Share on other sites
lorian
Okay, try this: Go to http://win2osx.net/wiki/index.php/10-4-3-8F1111 and download the extensions.mkext file. You should be able to boot that in VMWare. i have the same problem i guess and neither of these works. i replaced the extensions.mkext, tried platform=x86pc switch. i get the same acpi kernel panic both in vmware and native. i use the nonx kernel. i have fujitsu-siemens w600, i965, nvidia gfx (tried also onboard i915 on another fjs w620) an 3.2Ghz P4 HT. any idea? thank you.
