sweatyfish
I downloaded the software from Lexmark's website. It says that it is compatible with "10.4.x" When I install the driver/software for the printer, it gets about halfway and quits with an error. Something about "classes.nib" couldnt be loaded. The install file is not a .dmg nor is it anything that can be extracted with stuffit. It doesnt even have an extension. It's just a file? But what I am trying to do is figure a way to extract the files out so that I can yank the driver to use. Is that possible or does anyone know what the "classes.nib" error is? My guess is that the driver was made in the early 10.4 builds and hasnt been updated for the new kernels. If theres no way to get this working then I know to ask for a new printer for father's day. Rufus T. Firefly
.....i can build computers but don't know sh*t about printers. sorry that isn't much use for you though. I'm probably wrong but can't you only use USB printers with hackintosh?
Oracle67
DONT use the official support site drivers. Use the drivers is located on your installation DVD.
sweatyfish
It is a USB printer.... Oracle67, do you mean the drivers on the DVD that came with the printer or the OSX86 DVD? During install of OS X I selected Lexmark printer support, but when I add the printer, it does not show in the list of pre-installed drivers. Does that mean I am SOL?
