boot error

I succesfully intstalled macosx 10.4.3 in vmware

I put chain0 file in c: and edited boot.ini.

I get a chain0 error when I try to bootup macosx.

with acronis boot manager I get a HFS+ partition error.

 

Macosx partition is part of an extended partition together with 2 windows partitions.

The c-drive is not part of that extended partition.

 

Help would be appreciated,

Here is your primary problem. As far as I am aware no-one has yet succeeded in getting osx86 to boot from an extended partition. It has to be primary. I don't use acronis, so it may be that this has features to get around this limitation..

Is there a way to remove the extended partition, while keeping the partitions that are inside?

well if ur gonna use acronis, give it a try with acronis disk director, it works really fast, way better then partition magic here. Altho I dont think u can move the osx install out of the extended one and keep all the data on it...

 

I've been trying to get acronis OS selector to work with triple boot between ubuntu, osx (10.4.3) and xp and sofar I've been unsuccesful.. I keep getting HFS+ partition errors...
