tokies
I'm not sure I'm buying the right parts to make it all work. I really want to use all the software I bought my last computer a G3 can no longer use the Final Cut, After Effects, Blender, SoundTrack, and logic effectly (i put the new egg numbers just in case you want a better look at the specs) I was going to buy the Quad Core but I heard there was a bottle neck on the bus speed? if you use some type of boards. I am still willing to buy the Quad Core if I have the type that doesnt have that problem otherwise I think I might wait a year. I have fixed a few PC's, but I have never built one so please tell me if you see problems. Thanks for you help! Alessandro17
1) I prefer the Pioneer DVR-111D 2)Very much a matter of personal taste. I am very happy with a Cooler Master Centurion RC-534 3)OK 4)I am very happy with a XFX 7900 GT (I wouldn't buy a 7900 GS) 5)I wonder if 500W is enough. I'd go for an Enermax, at least 650W 6) I use Crucial Ballistix 7)Consider an Intel Bad Axe 2, beautiful board, perfectly compatible with OS X and Core 2 Quad 8)Fine 9)Beautiful, but in about 3 months time the prices should be halved. U.C.
The 8800 is not yet supported on OSX. A 7900 may be your most powerful alternative.

It must be version 2, although version 1 *might* support Quads as well.

u1m2
How about 256MB X1950XT, cheapish, quite powerful and supported with Jccool's method using a simple installer.
