josh256
Is there a way to set FSB to 200.176....etc w/ the old 8.8.1 kernel or Is there a way to maintain the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext w/ 8.9.1 Details: Originally everything was fine on 10.4.8/8.8.1. System clock was not fast. CPU PowerManagement worked (--> fan wasn't running fast/loud) Not Working great: 10.4.9 w/ Netkas 8.9.1 System clock okay, CPU detected as 3.42GHz (vs. 3.4, better fsb detection and likely why clock is tracking well) CPU runs hot, fan is loud (likely because I removed AppleIntelCPU*.kext [leaving it panics kernel at boot]) Azereos panics kernel (likely a Java issue, only app this happens in) 10.4.9 w/ old Semthex 8.8.1 System clock gains a minute or two each hour (CPU detected at 3.4GHz vs. 3.42GHz) CPU/Fan okay (AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext supported) Azereos okay Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/50624-kernels-fsb-detection-and-system-clock/ Share on other sites
