Braveheart
I have installed 10.4.3 on compaq Evo N1000v, Install was great but took alot longer than 10.4.1 . Battery indicator didn't work but found Fix.(If anyone needs it pm me) But the main problem was ichat, itunes and safari all kept crashing with an ATIRadionGLDriver errors. "Edit" Just booted to windows and apparently i have a mobile radion 7500, There is no kexts fot this.Does anyone have one? So i replaced the ATIRadinGLDriver.bundle kext from the 1.4.3 8f1111 kexts, with lots of success, ichat now works, safari doesn't crash so much now, but when i use the itunes visual effects it crashes and burns, and also have noticed if i do a ichat video call i can see myself until connect and then see the other person but my ichat screen goes green, and all the other person can see is green. The problem is Open GL i think. If i do a Xbench test it crashes on the open GL part. everything else seems good,(Exept Wireless But knowone else has that Yet) Can someone give me an idea of how to fix this problem, in 10.4.1 these problems never existed, but also i could not play DVD's in 10.4.1. I can now but very checkerboard style but hey its working now. 1 other thing quicktime works full screen perfect havn't tried windows media yet. I can send any kext if anyone can help with them... dadaz
Hello, I have an Asus notebook with ATI 9700 mobility. No problem with the driver provided in the 8f1099. I have core quartz and openGL, everything runs fast DVD, xbench... I can give you my kext if you want. How do you managed to make the battery indicator works, I tried with an hacked file found in this forum, but it make a kernel panic when my notebook try to go in sleep mode. Another question : is your notebook shutdown normally with the 10.4.3 ? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5059-1043-laptop-graphics/#findComment-32178 Share on other sites

cyrana
Those 4:3 and 5:4 modes typically work fine with VESA support. ALso, you never mentioned your video chipset. To the original poster, there is no 7500 support, you really need a 9500 or later (or onboard Intel).
