squimmy
Hi, I might be looking to update my graphics card. If I were to, i'd have a hundred pounds to spend and have been looking at the 7900 GS: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct....&subcat=358 Any Ideas on a better card to go for, I'd need it to be good for gaming and be good with os x. Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/50550-compatible-%C2%A3100-graphics-card/ Share on other sites
Doug the Impaler
From the wiki, nV's cards seem to be better for OS X, and 7x00 series better than 6x00 series. The 7900GS looks to be the way to go. squimmy
Ye, i think that's the one to go for. Out of interest, how do the drivers work? I don't recall apple ever making nvidia drivers, so are they written from scratch? And will opengl work? Yes, OpenGL will work once drivers are installed (I believe natit is preferred) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/50550-compatible-%C2%A3100-graphics-card/#findComment-361803 Share on other sites
