Oracle67
Try to use minimal choises on installing packages. ONLY basic about Intel, no languages support, no X11, no all printer drivers, only basic choices. (your machine is TO GOOD)
adriandkicks
try running with the -legacy command at boot. You may not have a 64 bit fixed kernel and/or extensions.
sarahbau
The Nocona with 1MB L2 cache is based on the Prescott P4s, so there shouldn't be a problem with the CPU. Whether or not the motherboard will work perfectly is another question.

Oracle67
Put dvd in drive and start by pressing F8. Then press -v for diagnostics. It gonna give a picture of what is going wrong. If installation starts let it and click on instaler to exit and restart. Give us a picture of the messages you get.
