Alright this is the deal. I have a PowerBook G4. I have Leopard 91410. I've slipt an external USB drive into two partitions, one called Media, one called Leopard. I've restored the Leopard image onto MEDIA with Disk Utility, and also tried with CCC. I've restarted my PowerBook while holding Option down, it sees the MEDIA partition with Leopard Install data on it. It won't BOOT up. It just sits there on the grey apple logo, I've even let it sit for an hour. Any ideas/suggestions?

PowerPC Macs cannot boot off USB

That's where your problem lies.

Seems stupid, I know, but I gues Apple couldn't be bothered implementing it!

They can boot from USB, my powerbook boots from external usb dvd drive (installed tiger many times from it) and from usb hdd (have tiger installed there for backup)
