Zizou
what you should do is this: install the apple combo update, replace AppleSMBIOS.kext and IOATAFamily.kext with the ones supplied on Paulicat's blog, then replace the kernel with the new one (8.8.1 for 10.4.8 update 8.9.1 for 10.4.9 update)
polle58
Thanks, in the mean while I obtained a JaS 10.4.8 AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 DVD, when I boot this DVd it sees my current 10.4.4 installation and propose an upgrade; ( I have a MSI nforce4 mobo with AMD 3500+ venice core CPU, macvidia driver and forcedeth driver installed afterwatrds on it) Can I safely follow the suggestion of upgrading or do I whipe first the partition and start from scratch? thanks
