Kroda
Everything on this system is working perfectly at this point. Currently running 10.4.8, and have sound, microphone, and nvidia all working. My _only_ problem right now is that when the system first boots up, the networking doesn't work. In the network settings it says: "the cable for built-in ethernet is not plugged in" The cable _is_ plugged in. Green lights on router/NIC. If I unplug the cable and plug it back in, everything works fine. Sort of annoying to have to re-plugin the network cable anytime I boot up or wake the system from sleep though. any ideas? thanks! Kroda
In case anyone else runs into this, it turns out to be a power management issue. Fixed now. Though it still flakes out on initial boot, it doesn't die when the box sleeps any longer. yee haw Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/49896-network-issue-on-p5ld2-vm/#findComment-357527 Share on other sites

(need to be re-plugged manually) I'm on 10.4.9 Didn't have that problem with 10.4.6 thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/49896-network-issue-on-p5ld2-vm/#findComment-366586 Share on other sites
Stander
I solved it... using now the file I provided below this post. It's from osx 10.4.3. Just exchange it with the one you have in your 10.4.9 and repair disk permissions. No more cable re-plugging.
