Network issue on p5ld2-vm

Everything on this system is working perfectly at this point. Currently running 10.4.8, and have sound, microphone, and nvidia all working.

My _only_ problem right now is that when the system first boots up, the networking doesn't work. In the network settings it says:

"the cable for built-in ethernet is not plugged in"

The cable _is_ plugged in. Green lights on router/NIC. If I unplug the cable and plug it back in, everything works fine. Sort of annoying to have to re-plugin the network cable anytime I boot up or wake the system from sleep though.

any ideas? :P

thanks!

In case anyone else runs into this, it turns out to be a power management issue. Fixed now.

Though it still flakes out on initial boot, it doesn't die when the box sleeps any longer.

yee haw
