prolinesurfer
Hi, I've tried the CS3 release version on my hackintosh and on my Mac mini. On the MM, it runs just fine, but on the hackintosh all the applications crash immediately after they've been launched. I've tried Design Premium and Web Premium under 10.4.8 and 10.4.9 with both of the offered license keys and always the same result. I've even reinstalled OSX to make sure this is not the reason. You can see the log output in the attachment. Any ideas? Greetings Prolinesurfer cs3.txt
lord xeon
apply the cracks, that should fix any problems. if you have cs3 legally, then it should work.
prolinesurfer
Actually, I have the "releases" with volume license keys which therefore are not meant to be cracked...

prolinesurfer
Possible that the volume version queries something unique to real Macs, such as the S/N or something in the firmware...
prolinesurfer
Have cracked it now, and it works.

prolinesurfer
see, told you. although, volume license keys shuold work...but it doesnt matter anymore right? I guess yes, but it's also an interesting question whether one could pretend to an application to have the required firmware data under OSX86... It also matters to me because I prefer the elegant volume key way over the dirty crack way. Cos with the former, you don't have trouble when updates come out. prolinesurfer
It's is a known problem on many hackintoshs. Read here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=47458 The only known solution so far is applying the crack lord xeon mentioned, available, for example, on the green daemon. theofan1960
Hi, I've just read in another topic that the problem is the AppleSMBIOS kernel extension that is causing the problem. Download the file there: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...aded&start= Replace the file located in System/Library/Extensions/ by the file you just downloaded Repair permissions using Terminal or Disk Utility And.... you're done! The CS3 Applications are not crashing anymore! Good Luck!
