Bisby
Hello ! I recently bought a Gigabit network hard drive (Iomega's Storcenter) and wired it to my network. Unsatisfied of the transfert speed under Ms Win Vista (5MB/s maximum, wich is quite poor), I tried it under Ms Win XP (it was still so poor) and finally under Mac OS X. Incredible : The transfert speed under the last one was 16MB/s ! All of the operating systems are working on the same computer (so it means same hardware !) So I was wondering... How can a difference like that be ? How to get a similar transfert speed under Ms Windows ? What's wrong ? Thanks in advance for your answer(s) Bisby :-)
djpc47
as far as xp goes I think there was some tcp/ip fix that you had to do to get full speeds on xp or some {censored} never used it much as I've yet to go to 10/100/1000 but will hopefully soonish:P as for vista I dunno
