Ken Iovino
Hey all, I have 10.4.3 installed on my HP dv6000 now and I would like to upgrade it to 10.4.9. Before I do that I would like to clearifly something from those who have already done this. I've downloaded these two files: 1. Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].zip 2. JaS.10.4.9.Combo.Update.Intel.SSE3.zip The first file (1) includes the following... CHAIN0. | CDBOOT. | BOOTHELP.TXT | BOOT1U. | BOOT1H. | BOOT0. | BOOT.CAT | BOOT. The second file (2) inculdes a few folders and such. The install states Burn included .iso with anything you like, boot on DVD, follow instructions to install. If you have a RECENT nVidia or Ati card, you can give a try to the included drivers, otherwise it's a bit of a no no for n00bs Reboot after install and copy JaS.10.4.9.Combo.Update.Intel.SSE3.zip on your nice new Os X Desktop. Doubleclick, follow instructions. Don't forget to install the second patch Reboot Though I don't see any ISO files. Is there something I'm missing? What is it that I need to do at this point? The downloaded folder is almost 5 gigs.
lord_muad_dib
ehm.. ? the first should be an iso... maybe youopened the including iso as an archive in winrar/whatever?
Ken Iovino
Well everytime I extract it, it seems to show all those files. I could have sworn I saw a ISO file in place. I could be going crazy.
Headrush69
Use the terminal and check that directory for hidden files. (ls -al)
