OK i have a Compaq V2405US notebook and I installed mac os x onto it. the install took a grand total of about 4 1/2 hrs, yea very long. (oh yea off topic, but it takes about 10 mins for the disk to boot into installation). i had it install overnight and woke up the next morning and it said reboot on a command-line-like prompt, meaning it didn't reboot itself. well i shut it down and started back up and darwin shows up with my xp partition and mac osx partition. so i select mac osx and it comes up with the gray screen with the apple and the spinwheel moving. it juz sits there for as long as i leave it. what do i do now? i ran it in verbose and it said that HFTB mounted Mac OS X (partition name) and juz sits there like that for as long as i leave it. what is going on? im trying to do a reinstall right now, i formatted the mac osx partition to fat32 and am starting over. hopefully this will work again. so can someone tell me whats going on with it not booting? thnx in advance
