unclemiltie
I read this forum occasionally and installed MacOS on my Dell Latitude to see how it would go, but in the end I like my Mac better and run my Windows apps right now on a separate machine but when I get my intel Mac (tomorrow!) I'll use aVM to run Windows. But, this got me thinking. I know that lots of people put lots of hard work into making the new versions of MacOS run on the generic WinTel boxes, but would it not be much simpler to build a VM that works the other way (ie: run MacOS on a VM that is hosted by Windows) has anyone done this? Where would I find out more?
Korrupted
It's been done plenty of times in VMWare, but every version past 10.4.3 will run sloooooooooow because of no hardware graphics acceleration, amongst other reasons. I'd only recommend putting OSX in a VM if you need to experiment with kexts or you need to do other experimentation. It's too slow to be of any real day to day usage.
