ayrton Posted April 23, 2007 Share Posted April 23, 2007 I did a quick run through your stickies and tried a search and nothing seemed to match my issue. My hardware: -ASUS P5L-MX -Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.13 GHz -2 GB RAM -SATA 80-gig HD, SATA DVD/CD-RW Combo drive -nVidia GeForce 7600 GT (PCI-x) Anyway, when I boot to the install DVD, I see the gray Apple logo, and then the little spinning gray bars at the bottom, but after about 30 seconds, the screen gets slightly dimmer and a little "no smoking" style sign (just a circle with a slash through it) appears in the center of the screen, and nothing happens from there on out. I know how impossible it is to determine what could be causing so generic an error, but does anyone have any ideas? Whoops! Nevermind. Gotta learn to use verbose mode.
