Alex Tracy
I am deciding on which iMac model to purchase, and the only thing bothering me about the 17 inch imac is that its video card is limited to the ATI Radeon X1600/128MB VRAM. Where as the imac 20 inch model sport the ATI Radeon X1600/256MB VRAM. I really don't mind the difference in size between the 17 and 20 inch imacs so the only thing I care about is the video card. Is the ATI Radeon X1600/128MB VRAM good enough to play games like WoW and FEAR at the same settings as the ATI Radeon X1600/256MB VRAM? siddharth
The more the Video RAM (VRAM), more will be the performance of your graphics card. I suggest go for the 20" iMac with the Radeon X1600/256 MB VRAM.
TvvqKMZ72bsklauw5
I have the 20" iMac with 128 MB of VRAM. I also play World of Warcraft and the graphics chip can produce pretty high settings in WoW. VRAM might give it a slight increase in performance but nothing too much of a difference...to the untrained eye .
fobis
The extra 128MB VRAM will help significantly in games like FEAR with a lot of textures. I'd say go for the 256MB X1600, but don't expect any miracles. The card itself is pretty pathetic for gaming...

Suzuka
I wouldn;t call it pathetic, I was able to run Oblivion on high graphics, with 128 MB
fobis
Well, it's pathetic for games that have been released in the last year. Try playing Rainbow Six: Vegas on it and you'll see what I mean.
