Saber Super Posted April 18, 2007 Share Posted April 18, 2007 Hi all, I tried to install on my PC with the JaS 10.4.8 image. My CPU is ok, and all my hardware is compatible, but I start to get doubts about the Hard Disk. I tried making a partition and it wasn't recognised. I tried the disk helper utitily, but only my DVD drive was found. I made the partition for it with the windows xp cmd, with the "create partition id=af" command. It said it was ok and showed me an unknown partition. In VMware it did recognise my disk, but it said it was 128 gib (instead of 320) and everything was greyed out. I don't need dual boot for now, just osx. Can anyone help me? Saber Super Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
spartango Posted April 19, 2007 Share Posted April 19, 2007 if you are willing, it may be worth it to backup your stuff and overwrite windows with OSX from the disk (bios native boot), and reinstall windows. also, remember NTFS is not recognized by OSX Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Saber Super Posted April 20, 2007 Author Share Posted April 20, 2007 I have backed everything up, and I want to have, for now, a single boot. I am doing this posting via my laptop. I'm still waiting for a way to recognise my hard disk. I've not installed anything on this windows partition except for vmware.
