I have an external HD for Data, and i would like to use it on OS X and Windows Vista,

I dont want to use FAT32 because the 4 GB limit, and i dont want to use NTFS because OSX cant write to it.

I dont mind having an extra app that allows me to read the other FS .

Does anyone know how to resolve this ?

well you could buy macdrive so that windows can use a mac os journalled drive or buy macFUSE for mac so that mac can view the NTFS drive or you could leave the drive as free space

macFuse is free

ist's a good solution but a little slow writing ntfs

other than that i see no solution

i did a fast lookup on google and found this but never tried it, http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/ext2ifs.htm

and dont know if mac can read ext2

try and do a little research on that

a litle edit, that driver only lets you read ext2 not write....

i see no other solution

well and another edit you can try this on windows

http://hem.bredband.net/catacombae/hfsx.html

and macFuse on mac

if you want to make a deeper search

see this links and google a bit
