JSn1™
I had JaS 10.4.7, when I opened about this Mac, it said: 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM Well, now, I updated to 10.4.8, using the official Apple 10.4.8 update and the 8.8.1 kernel. When I open about this Mac, it just says 1GB 533 MHz Ram. I can notice the diference when running virtual machine, the PC is slow, with 10.4.7 it was very fast. Is there any way to get detected my RAM as DDR2 again? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48475-ddr2-ram-shown-as-normal-ddr/ Share on other sites
The Shaun
It has nothing to do with how the RAM is "detected". Apple System Profiler/About This Mac doesn't always work right. emig647
What kernel / build are you running now? Stil 10.4.8? You may want to try to upgrade to 10.4.9 with one of the other kernels. JSn1™
I am running 10.4.8 and kernel 8.8.1 because of my audio driver. I don't see a lot of change in the system performance, I just feel the system is slower than before when running a Virtual Machine.
