Hi,

I edited my boot file to try to make windows boot as default but it didnt work and now I cant boot osx, when booting from cd I cant load any text editor, not even the "sudo" command works, everything I try gives me "command not found", how can I edit the boot file from the Terminal using the boot cd? (which commands would work)

thanks a lot!

When you use the Terminal on CD, you're automatically logged in as root. So you don't need sudo, and it doesn't even exist in the bash shell included on the CD.

So boot from CD, and do

nano /Volumes/"Mac HD"/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.boot.plist

Obviously, replace "Mac HD" with the name of your Mac partition.

Then edit out whatever you screwed up, Ctrl+X to save/exit, and try booting up again.

guys, I bet this is easy as cake for you but I have no idea, could someone please donate 2 min of your time to help me launch a text editor using the Terminal on the installation cd and fix my boot file, pleeeease :)
