Obsidian
I just installed 10.4.8 with 8.8.1 Running with a Pentium M 2GHz, 1GB RAM, nVidia 6600 (laptop). Install went fine, after it rebooted, OS X was in the center 1/3 of my screen top to bottom. Giant chunks on either side not being used at all. Mouse was fine in the installation, but no where to be seen after install? emig647
Once you have CI/QE enabled for your graphics card they should go away... worked for many others. Obsidian
Rebooted and it's fullscreen now. However, there is a mouse, but there is not cursor. How do I fix this? emig647
Are you saying the mouse arrow is there but the cursor doesn't appear in text fields? or there isn't even a mouse arrow? emig647
Sorry I don't have any answer for that... it's not even in the top left corner or anything? I can't imagine os x not rendering a mouse arrow but stranger things have happened with OSx86 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48099-screen-mouse-troubles/#findComment-344618 Share on other sites
Obsidian
If I shutdown a few times, it eventually shows up. wtf. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48099-screen-mouse-troubles/#findComment-344666 Share on other sites
emig647
Heh, for the first time I experienced a curson not showing up in os x. I've been using it since 10.0. Today I was trying to get urban terror to work on my mbp, and it changed the resolution on my lcd to an unsupported res. All the sudden my curson was gone. Did you try both Natit and titan? What graphics card do you have? Supposedly Natit works better for ati and titan for nvidia. Obsidian
I opted for both to be installed. How do I switch? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/48099-screen-mouse-troubles/#findComment-344854 Share on other sites
emig647
Ahh I bet that's your problem. I'm not an expert and it seems I'm the only one helping you in this thread... you might want to search on uninstalling natit and titan, and reinstalling them. If you can't find anything... try installing over them with the new versions. Go to ATI Graphic Card Info And see what drivers work for them. There is JCCool, Natit, Titan. Do a search for your graphics card on these threads and on that page. Hope this helps.
