Hondo Posted April 10, 2007 Share Posted April 10, 2007 Well, I just got this. It is very cool, But the only thing that I found annoying is that it can only stream wmv, wma. I was wondering if any of you knew a way for it to stream other formats. Seeing how alot of my movies are in avi format I would like to try to avoid coverting them to wmv. Adrian Fogge Posted April 11, 2007 Share Posted April 11, 2007 It is more of an issue with the Xbox360 than anything else. Microsoft is adding support for other formats in the Spring 2007 Update, however that is still a ways off. The way that it normally works with MediaCenter via Extender is using Terminal Services (just like Remote Desktop) meaning it is the other computer that actually PLAYS the content and then streams it over to your Xbox. In the big scheme of things, just wait a couple months and you should get h.264 and mpeg4 support on the 360.
