I'm trying to get 10.4.3 installed on my AMD64 3200+ venice computer.

I am experiencing extremely slow performance, it takes about 15 minutes just to boot up to the first installation prompt that asks about the keyboard type. Then takes literally forever to start/complete the installation process.

Here are my specs;

Athlon 64 3200+ CPU

MSI RS480M2-IL motherboard

Integrated radeon xpress200 graphics

SATA 200gb drive, PATA 80gb drive

LG DVDRW

2x512 PC3200 Ram

Integrated AC97 Sound

Anyone have any experience with this type of setup?

Thanks

JT

Boot with platform=ADP2,1 or whatever it is :P, I had to use that with 10.4.1. Not sure about 10.4.3, but I couldn't ever get dma, so the hd tops out at around 2MB/s.
