SigmaTel 9250 (ID 7634) microphone input

Hi!

I have got a Gateway MT6821 with the SigmaTel 9250. Osx86 10.4.8 is working. The roblem I have is about the sound chip the Sigmatel 9250.

I already tried to use AppleHDA Patcher by dragging the fitting txt-file onto HDA-Patcher icon in -legacy mode. Everything worked fine and I have got sound!!!

But the microphone doesn't work at all! When I am at the sound preferences it doesn't show incoming sound in the bar and as device it says "Unknown"

So does anyone know what I can do about it. I thought with the offered txt-file it should work from scratch.

Another thing I encountered: I can turn the volume up and down using the special keyboard keys (Fn+..) but I can't set it to mute.

Any ideas?

Can U give me instructions on how you got this working I followed everything above, but it didn't work. Also what is legacy mode how do you turn it on. I have a Sigamtel ID 7634 VEN 8684 Gateway MX6214
