Hi, I have a triple boot system with Windows XP Pro and Fedora core 6 on my SATA drive and Mac OSX 10.4.8 on a PATA drive (that has one other ntfs partition).

I installed JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 with all the options (apart from AMD SSE2&3) and when I boot I get the apple logo, followed by the same with the spinning wheel, then after that the monitor turns off momentarily and returns back with a grey background (the one that was behind the spinning wheel and apple logo screen), upon which it hangs.

I have tried booting with verbose mode and it doesn't freeze on any of the writing, but when the writing finishes, the screen again momentarily shuts off, this time returning with a black screen. I have tried using the safe mode option but get the same result.

I have also tried installation without the nvidia patches with the same result.

I have Asus P4C800-E Deluxe with Pentium 4 3.0GHz Northwood (Hyperthreading on) and my graphics card is X800 XT PE (R420 JP).

Thank you for your time.

I still get that problem after taking off the x1000 ati drivers and nvidia drivers (titan) but i still installed the common hardware and it still gives the same problem, and even when i do -v (verbose) half way through it freezes goes to a black screen with a bunch of vertical white lines, im workin on installing callisto drivers i have x850xt sapphire by the way

my computer just started doing this to me which is great because i was doing homework... when it happened to you, do you remember if you were getting the black arrow by the finder icon in the dock? or was the dock not even showing up? i am not getting the black arrow by the finder in the dock so it seems to me like the finder is not even fully launching but i can see my dock and launch programs but they quit almost right away in most cases and i get the "send report" box. i also have no icons on my desktop but i logged in to my hackintosh from my powerbook and took a few files which i needed and that went well so i know my harddrive is still intact. could this maybe be a bad RAM chip or something and maybe there isnt enough memory to do anything? i know i am rambling here but i really need help since i cant work with photoshop on this slow ass powerbook without playing the "wait for the progress bar" game.
