Hi pmalm:

I was able to get Griffin's AirClick USB working fine on my "Hackintosh" (OSx86 10.4.6 on MSI mPC 915) with Front Row. Universal Drivers are available through Griffin's Website. AirClick USB supports several applications (including Front Row) for Mac and Windows. Highly recommended.

As for Apple's own remote, I do not know. Anyone install Apple's Remote on your OSx86 PC?

Hi,

is there any way to get Apple Remote work on Hackintosh?

i.e. what IR-dongles does work and so on??

Yes, you need a supported receiver and third party software such as mira. Alternately, you could probably use this http://www.mac-pro.com/Mac-Mini-Intel-Fan922-7317 and not need third party software.

Sweet as chocolate! would that need to be attached to an internal USB connector?

He did use the MacBook pro IR board and not the Mini but I can't imagine Apple would use 2 different connections
