Goal: Sharing your internet connection on a PC so as to go online through it on an OSX system by Bluetooth.

osx: bluetooth device that works properly

Discriptions of my system and the procedure:

pc: Win XP prof sp2, a bluetooth dongle pluged on USB port with the driver BlueSoleil.

osx: OSX 10.4.8 on Thinkpad T43 with it's internal bluetooth device(which functions properly after the installtion of osx)

Step 1: (PC)Open the BlueSoleil control pannal, go to the services tab and enable Bluetooth Serial Port A services (which in my system is COM7)

Setp 2: (OSX)Open system preferences->bluetooth, search and add my PC to the trust list. Click on the name of my PC and click on edit serial ports, Select the serial port A on the Device service list and check the Show in network preferences, then apply.

Setp 3: (PC)Install m-router to PC and run it. Right click on the icon in tray, select 'advanced configure', on the tab add the port COM7 to m-router.

Setp 4: (OSX) Open Internet Conncet in the Applicaitons, and you can see the Port you added before. Click on it and then click on the Configuration List, select edit configuration, on the Modem list select NULL MODEM 115200, click ok. On the tab leave the phone number, acount name and password blank, click on the connect button. If everthing is ok, you are online now:)
