TheBigBlah Posted April 3, 2007 Share Posted April 3, 2007 Hey everyone, I have a problem, of course, involving mac osx 10.4.6 on a Dell Inspiron 2650. OSX will sucessfully install, and I am currently up and running, but with a problem. If I boot with no external keyboard of mouse, and just use the touchpad and keyboard on the laptop, the second i touch a key the touchpad stops working (with exception of the FN function key and brightness..). Ive tried a few patched kext files with no luck. Now to get more specific, if i use an external mouse with the laptop keyboard, it will not stop this mouse from working by pressing a key, only the touch pad. I beleive the keyboard and touchpad are both PS/2 but I dont exactly know how to check, I just assume so since the laptops 7 years old. I have a usb keyboard that works fine, so I still can use terminal fine or whatever else I need to type in. Some system specs for those of you who dont know about this model (its old so not many do) - Pentium 4 Mobile - 385mb of ram - GeForce 2 Go 32mb - 20GB 4800 hard drive - USB 1.1 (old school) - PS/2 on back, doesnt work with OSX Thanks alot in advance!
