i have an acer aspire 5002 laptop. i have installed mac os x after going thru some real pain in the a** .

well mac os boots fine but my keyboard and touchpad arent working!!! plz help....

Yep I've got the same problem on my Presario X1000 laptop, Pentium M 1,4.....

It would seem that one of the Maxxuss patches TPM or SSE2 --->SSE3 is disabling

the keyboard and the built in trackpad at the kernel level.....

When you boot with the backed up kernel, they work fine.....(you may or may not have a kernel backup depending on your installation)

Anyways, I'm looking for a fix myself, no luck so far....

Hi I have a Gateway 4026GZ with the same problem. Does anyone know if this is directly related to the Maxxus patch, or if its just disabled in 10.4.3?

EDIT: Found a solution that worked for me. I disabled Legacy USB support in the BIOS and my trackpad and keyboard work perfectly now. May work for some others too.

well my bios does not have an option of disabling USB legacy devices !!!! there must be some way thru which we can paas an arg to the kernel during boot asking it not to look for USB devices...or may be a counter patch to the SSE3 patch which makes the internal keyb and touchpad work..

My old travelmate (Intel 845MP - p4 2.0 northwood) went through native installation without any problems, used maxxuss patch and his latest add-on. First boot loading takes a while, and then there is a welcome video (seems ati radeon mobility 7500 works), after a minute i get a "connect your keyboard" message. mouse does not work either...

Let's hope someone comes up with a solution...

Someone posted a solution elsewhere in this forum. The trick is to use the newer extensions from the Darwinx86 install Cd....specifically the applePS2controller.kext in system/librarary/extensions folder. Also, replacing the appleaudio97.kext extension restored sound for me too!

It works with the Maxxuss patches for sse2 ---->sse3 and anti-tpm installed......
